A word processor is a type of software application used for composing, editing, formatting and printing documents. Word processors have a variety of uses and applications with in the business environment, at home and in educational contexts. One example of a Word Processor is Microsoft Word, but other word processing applications are also widely used. Examples include: Microsoft Works Word Processor, Open Office Writer, Word Perfect and Google Drive Document. but certainly not limited to) reports, letters, memos, newsletters and brochures.

Word processes software is used to create and point the document.

Libra Office

Libra Office includes several applications that make it the most versatile Free and Open Source office suite on the market: Writer (word processing), Calculator (spreadsheets), Impress (presentations), Draw (vector graphics and flowcharts), Base (databases), and Math (formula editing).

Microsoft Office Suite
